Payment
I accept cash, check, and most major credit cards at the time of each session. I have a limited amount of reduced rate appointments available in order to accommodate at need patients and families. More information about cost is discussed prior to scheduling a session.
If your insurance company offers reimbursement for out-of-network providers, as most PPOs and some HMOs do, I can provide you with a monthly billing statement that you can submit for reimbursement. Please call your insurance company to verify your behavioral mental health benefits and reimbursement rates for out-of-network mental health providers.
You should be aware that submitting a mental health claim for reimbursement carries a certain amount of risk to confidentiality, privacy, or future eligibility to obtain health or life insurance. You should also be aware that most insurance companies require you to authorize me to provide them with a mental health disorder diagnosis. Not all conditions that are the focus of psychotherapy are reimbursed by insurance companies. If you would like to consider using your insurance coverage, I would be happy to discuss the benefits and risks with you. Session length, fees, and cancellation policy
The fee-per-session for individual therapy is $150. A typical therapy session is 50 minutes, though this may vary based on your specific needs, treatment plan, or specific request. Additional fees will apply as needed. Fees for assessments vary depending on the tests/questionnaires included and the time required for testing, scoring, interpretation, and report writing. The cost will be calculated by total hours spent at a rate of $150 per hour. If you are interested in treatment or have questions, please call me to schedule a brief telephone consultation.
If you will be cancelling or rescheduling an appointment, please contact me as soon as possible. For appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged $75 for the missed session. Cancellation requests may be made by either voicemail or email.
